Gelatin: food grade, bloom strength no less than 150 grams, both skin gelatin or bone gelatin are ok.
Glycerin: USP grade, >95%.
Purified water:
TiO2 powder: food grade, if they only want to produce transparent capsule, this is not necessary.
Dye powder: food grade, water soluble. If they want to produce different colors of capsule, this is necessary.
Mineral oil for gelatin ribbon lubrication: also known as white oil or paraffin oil, food grade or pharmaceutical grade, clear and odorless, viscosity around 30 cps at 20 degree Celsius.
Compressed air: pressure no less than 6 bar, provide connector for Dia. 6 mm air hose.
Electricity supply of course
The rooms must be climate controlled: the encapsulation room, 20-20 degree, relative humidity no higher than 35%; the final drying room, temperature around 25 degree, relative humidity around 20%.
The gelatin melting process:
1. Weigh the purified water and glycerin, put them in the melting tank, stir to mix them together, heat the mixture to 75 degree.
2.Add the weighed gelatin into the tank, stir for about 30 minutes, until all the gelatin are melted.
3.If use color, add the TiO2 and dye inside and stir
4.Start the vacuum pump to suck all the bubbles out
5.Discharge the gelatin liquid to the gelatin storage tank, keep it at 60 degreee for about 2 hours, then the gelatin is ready.
