About Plastic Mould
Plastic molds generally have three types: cast mould, electroplating copper, and aluminum mold.
Plaster Mold
Uses gypsum in semi-wet hand carved molding and drying simple mold. Plaster mold has low cost but high manual labor requirement, easy to modify, but lacks precision, smooth surface, and durability. Often used in proofing and electroplating copper model species.
Aluminum Mold
Made from aluminum ingot by mechanical processing (lathe, milling machine, CNC, etc.). Aluminum mold offers high precision, smooth surface and durability, but is expensive. Generally used for precision products where copper isn't sufficient or for very large production quantities.
Copper Electroplating
With plaster mold as the base product, electroplating a layer of copper creates copper electroplating. While not as precise as aluminum, it's significantly cheaper. Due to its smooth surface, durability and low cost advantages, copper electroplating is the most common plastic mould type.
About Plastic Materials
Plastic products use raw materials only as plastic sheets, with film thickness generally not exceeding 10mm. Commonly used sheets include PPE.
The most commonly used plastic materials are soft, with strong toughness and good plasticity, can be made transparent or in various colors.
PP Material
Material is particularly soft with good toughness, environmentally non-toxic, high temperature resistant to 160°C. Often used for catering appliances or other high temperature resistant products packaging. However, it has poor plasticity, difficult processing, surface gloss difference and color becomes shallow during processing.
